Shoppers arrived in Chestnut Hill Friday morning, December 17, to find the parking had gotten a little complicated.
Someone had poured glue into the credit card slots on six random parking kiosks. Chestnut Hill Parking Foundation workers picked the dried glue off kiosks and the adjacent parking attendant huts in the Green and Orange lots. The Philadelphia Parking Authority took a little longer to reach the four street kiosks affected on the 8300 and 8400 blocks of Germantown Avenue, but the problem was largely resolved by noon. Customers could still pay for parking via cash, ParkMobile, or just walk to the next operable kiosk in the same zone. The business association filed a police report for damage and defacement of property. Photo courtesy Chestnut Hill Business District
