Philadelphia launches free pre-K portal

Free pre-K spots are still available for the 2024-2025 school year in Philadelphia, with seats open at 350 locations across the city. The City of Philadelphia's Office of Children and Families and the School District of Philadelphia have launched a single application system called FreePhillyPreK for families to enroll children aged 3 or 4.

FreePhillyPreK.org provides information on 370 locations offering over 17,000 publicly funded preschool seats. Families can submit a single application for up to three preferred locations.

Free pre-K spots are still available for the 2024-2025 school year in Philadelphia, with seats open at 350 locations across the city. The City of Philadelphia's Office of Children and Families and the School District of Philadelphia have launched a single application system called FreePhillyPreK for families to enroll children aged 3 or 4.

FreePhillyPreK.org provides information on 370 locations offering over 17,000 publicly funded preschool seats. Families can submit a single application for up to three preferred locations. 

Since its June launch, the portal has received over 2,600 applications.

To apply, families need proof of the child's age, family residency, household income, and caregiver ID. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
