I have lived in Chestnut Hill for more than 50 years. Does anyone else notice the deterioration of our main street? I am shocked at the state of the Avenue. What had been an attractive, vibrant business community is now plagued with vacant stores and buildings in disrepair. Painting and carpentry are clearly needed. Why would a dirty awning still fly over the Chestnut Hill Cheese Shop, years after the store became vacant? And why all the vacancies? Chestnut Hill will no longer be a destination as a “green village town” of charm. I will henceforth take myself to Doylestown!
