ACME Markets presented a $510,000 donation to Bringing Hope Home on July 29 during a presentation at the Roxborough grocery store, part of the organizations’ longstanding partnership to support local families facing cancer.
The donation includes $250,000 in grocery gift cards and $260,000 raised through ACME’s Nourishing Neighbors register campaign, helping alleviate food insecurity and providing families with groceries and essential household items as they navigate the financial and emotional challenges of cancer treatment. Access to healthy food can play a critical role in helping them maintain stability and comfort, the company said in a news release.
The presentation brought together leadership from ACME and Bringing Hope Home, as well as families, oncology social workers, community partners and supporters to celebrate the partnership and the generosity of customers throughout the region.
“Through ACME’s Nourishing Neighbors program, we’re committed to addressing food insecurity and ensuring our neighbors have access to healthy, nourishing food when they need it most,” said Dana Ward, director of communications and public affairs for ACME. “Families facing cancer often face significant financial and emotional challenges.”
“Our partnership with ACME Markets has never been just about a donation; it’s about a shared commitment to caring for families when they need it most,” said Paul Isenberg, CEO and co-founder of Bringing Hope Home. “For years, ACME has stood beside us as a trusted partner, helping ensure that families facing cancer have access to food, financial relief, and the support they need to focus on what matters most: healing.”
As part of the event, ACME and Bringing Hope Home also introduced an upcoming digital recipe series featuring easy, affordable meals.
Bringing Hope Home is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to families affected by cancer.
