Albert S. Jerdan, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31st, 2025. He was 96.
Al was born in Philadelphia to the late Wilfred and Ella (Ingram) Jerdan. He attended Dobbins High School before joining the US Navy.
After being honorably discharged, he worked for Leeds and Northrup as an injection molder retiring after 30 years of employment.
In 1952, Al married the love of his life, the late Constance “Connie” (Carels) Jerdan. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2011.
He lived in the Gravers Lane train station, in Chestnut Hill, for over 80 years until he moved to Doylestown in 2015.
Al loved to have fun by spending time with his family. He loved to play cards and going to Ocean City, NJ for vacation. He was interested in the Phillies and Eagles, liked to play golf and softball.
He is survived by his children, Stephen and his late wife Judi (Mosteller), Wayne (Jamie), Charlene Gumkowski (David) and the late Holly Lind (Kenny).
Additionally, Al is survived by his grandchildren, Alyssa Bernard (Brandon), James Gumkowski and Rayna Lind and his great grandchildren, Alana and Kira Bernard
In addition to his parents and wife, Al is predeceased by his brothers Russell (Irene), Walter (Laura), Linnaeus (Marion), Wilfred (Betty) and his sister Ada Morrison (William).
A memorial get together will be held at a future date.
