During the pandemic, while others hesitated, Ala was on the front lines, founding and leading the Black Doctors COVID–19 Consortium – literally saving lives and ensuring that no community was left behind. She showed the kind of urgency, moral clarity, and innovative leadership that we need in Congress.
Dr. Stanford doesn’t just talk — she takes action — and that is something we need now more than ever in Washington. Dr. Stanford understands the challenges that so many Philadelphians face because she faced them herself. She is the embodiment of the American dream. As a child, her family relied on government programs like food stamps and subsidized housing — and look what happened: She overcame obstacle after obstacle to become not only a pediatric surgeon but a genuine health care hero. I am proud to endorse her. Please join me in supporting Dr. Ala Stanford for Congress.
