What a day for our community! Once again, we came together to celebrate the season and the spirit that makes our neighborhood so special. Our holiday parade — a tradition we revived 13 years ago — continues to grow in joy, participation, and meaning each year.

From schools and scout troops to dance groups, bands, choirs, community businesses/partners, and antique car friends, the energy you brought today was incredible. The smiles, music, and creativity along the Avenue captured everything we hope this parade stands for: connection, tradition, and the simple happiness of sharing a moment together.

When we restarted this parade over a decade ago, the hope was to bring back something meaningful. What has emerged is far greater — a tradition that unites neighbors of all ages, builds lasting memories, and strengthens the fabric of our diverse, generous, and community-minded neighborhood.

And in recent years, this spirit has expanded into something even more impactful. Our parade has become the spark behind our winter clothing and gear drive benefiting DeSales Service Works. Thank you to everyone who brought coats, hats, gloves, blankets, boots, and warm clothing today. Your generosity will help keep many in need safe and warm this winter.

As you enjoy the holiday season, please continue to share our parade experience with friends and neighbors. There is always room for more participants, more joy, and more community spirit along the Avenue.

Thank you for your time, creativity, and commitment. Today was another wonderful reminder of what we can create — together.
