I wanted to bring the new statue at the top of the hill to your attention. It’s outside the new condo/retail space identified by the new Citizens Bank sign (8623 Germantown Ave.)
While I applaud the use of public art, I have to question the statue which appears to be a solo white man reading the sports page (albeit the Eagles Super Bowl victory). Especially, in this political climate, I fear the backlash might be rather negative.
As a community, we should be celebrating the diversity of our neighborhoods and visitors.
