Wow, the revised masthead is recognizably beautiful! Congratulations to the entire design team that brought it forward and simultaneously elevated its use of print space.
The effort placed in its conceptual and visual exactness is clear. Stacking CH in the size font selected really broadens the entire front page even beyond the masthead. The emphasis of the paper's nickname “Local” is big and bold and so right on in more than a number of ways. That grand change alone tells a story and certainly gives space for curiosity.

All distinct noticeable design touches, the way its “l” lines with the new right side flanking lamppost, dropping serifs, evening-green bands, switching up font sizes to reflect priority of the audience versus award — so many particular elements; I’m sure I’m only mentioning a few of the many imaginable and now-visible painstaking and meticulously thought out awesome solutions.
In this, Malcolm [Melissa’s son] and I just simply wanted to send a personal high five to you and your team. Knowing that, while the bold step appears seamlessly and swiftly from one week to the next, the amount of time invested in accomplishing the true change and the levels of new distinctions is apparent and awesomely accomplished.
For real, way to go, taking so many big leaps this year, recently, and lately with the Local!
