Nana's Books Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides grade-appropriate books about Alzheimer's disease and other disabilities to public libraries and students in Title I schools, presented and distributed 679 books to the 369 students at Henry H. Houston Elementary School this spring. Foundation president and founder Dennis Dulniak and his son secretary and co-founder Craig Dulniak presented the books in honor of their wife and mother, Nancy, who was a lifelong librarian. “I am thrilled that my wife’s legacy of education and literacy has expanded from her hometown school and library,” said Dulniak, widower of Nancy. “Through our foundation, we want to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s and disabilities, and give families the resources necessary to better cope with this condition.”
