Reichert has been a resident of Chestnut Hill for 11 years but grew up above the Valley Green Inn, just over the Wissahickon Creek. She has been a member of the CHCA since moving back to the area and has enjoyed volunteering for events such as the Holiday House Tour, the Pastorius Park Summer Concert Series, the Circle of Trees Celebration at Woodmere and many other volunteer opportunities for both the CHCA and Friends of the Wisssahickon.
Professionally, she has been a freelance Spanish-language interpreter for the past five years. Working mainly in hospital settings, Reichert also interprets in schools all over the Delaware Valley. She has spent 25 years as a Spanish and English as a Second Language teacher, in and around Philadelphia.
When asked why she wanted to join the CHCA board, Reichert replied, “As a resident of Chestnut Hill, I believe in the CHCA and have admired the work they do. I believe that I can continue to be a positive influence in the community through my involvement in the CHCA board by providing clarity and understanding in complex situations while representing the voice of Chestnut Hill.”
Montour serves as associate general counsel and assistant secretary at Temple University Health System. In her role, she provides legal counsel on a wide range of matters including corporate governance, entity formation, tax exemption, nonprofit compliance and philanthropic agreements. She advises the board of directors and senior executive management on legal and strategic issues that inform organizational decision-making and support good governance.
Montour joined Temple Health after nearly a decade of practicing law in New York. Most recently, she was an associate at Sedreddine & Whoriskey, LLP, where she worked with the founding partners to advise nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations at all stages of development and operation. Prior to that, she was a litigation and dispute-resolution associate at Clifford Chance US LLP, where she worked on complex commercial litigation, government investigations and white-collar criminal defense. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judith C. McCarthy, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York.
Montour earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as a symposium editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics and was active in advocacy projects supporting survivors of domestic violence. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated cum laude, with distinction in Romance Languages, and studied abroad in Paris and Rome. Outside of work, Montour enjoys spending time with her family and engaging with her community.
She says she is delighted to have been appointed by Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital to serve on the CHCA board. She grew up in Chestnut Hill and lives in Mt. Airy, and is honored to have the opportunity to give back to her community. She looks forward to bringing her experience and training in nonprofit governance to the CHCA board, and to learning from the board as well.
