Pennsylvania State Sen. Art Haywood and State Rep. Tarik Khan helped obtain $2.5 million through the state's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program and $670,500 from the Local Share Account program. The appreciation event ran from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the hospital's main lobby, featuring remarks from Temple University Health System Executive VP Abhinav Rastogi and Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital CEO Richard Newell.
A free community health fair was held concurrently, offering blood pressure and diabetes screenings, colon cancer testing kits, and information about behavioral health resources.
