Oct. 31 Theft. A complainant left a purse, credit cards and identification in an offender's car, located on the 700 block of Davidson Road, and the offender refuses to return them.

Chestnut Hill

Oct. 31 Theft. A complainant left a purse, credit cards and identification in an offender's car, located on the 700 block of Davidson Road, and the offender refuses to return the items. 

Dec. 22 Vandalism. The Wells Fargo ATM, located on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street, was blown up with an apparent explosive device. No money from the ATM appears to have been stolen. 

Dec. 26 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported his car being broken into while hiking in the Wissahickon. The car, which was parked at the parking lot near Valley Green Road and had its window shattered, had a wallet stolen from it. 

Dec. 27 Aggravated assault. A complainant who is a nurse at Chestnut Hill Hospital, located on the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue, reported being attacked by a patient who scratched her face.

Dec. 29 Theft. A complainant reported a package being stolen from her front porch, located on the 200 block of East Willow Grove Avenue. 

Dec. 29 Intimidation/threats. A complainant, who is an employee at Chestnut Hill Hospital, reported getting texts from an offender about how he was “coming” for her and received a texted image of the offender’s hand holding a firearm. The offender also texted that he would “find” her at work and the staff wouldn’t be able to hide her. The complainant reported that the texted picture messages were coming from inside the hospital. She was transported to the Northwest Detective Division. 

Jan. 3 Shoplifting. A complainant who was the owner of Chestnut Hill Sports, located on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue, reported a woman leaving the store with a Sixers jersey she did not pay for. 

Jan. 5 Shoplifting. A patron left the CVS Pharmacy, located on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue, with toys, face products and household items she did not pay for. She was witnessed fleeing on a SEPTA bus. 

Jan. 5 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported having her car window smashed with items, including a pocketbook, ID and driver’s license, stolen from the vehicle, which was parked near the Valley Green Inn on Valley Green Drive.

Jan. 7 Shoplifting. A complainant reported that a man left the CVS Pharmacy, located on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue, with items, including drinks, deodorant and medication, that he did not pay for. 

Jan. 7 Burglary. A complainant reported that somebody gained entry to his house, located on the 100 block of West Evergreen Street, by pushing in his air conditioner. The burglar then proceeded to steal $1,000 in cash and a speaker. 

Mt. Airy 

May 16 Theft. A complainant reported his social security card, identification and birth certificate being stolen from his apartment, located on the 100 block of West Sharpnack Street.

Oct. 1 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the license plate being stolen off a car she had disposed of. She’s been getting traffic tickets mailed to her house, located on the unit block of Slocum Street, from Maryland and Delaware.

Dec. 10 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car going missing from the 7000 block of Cresheim Road. 

Dec. 20 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her car going missing from where she parked it on the 700 block of East Upsal Street.

Dec. 20 Shoplifting. A complainant reported an offender leaving the wine and spirits store on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue with a bottle of wine they did not pay for. 

Dec. 23 Aggravated assault/carjacking. As a complainant exited his vehicle on the 6600 block of Musgrave Street, at least two offenders approached him and pointed guns at him to get him to give up his vehicle. The offenders fled in the complainant’s vehicle. 

Dec. 23 Shoplifting. A complainant reported a man taking groceries from an Acme, located on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue, without paying. 

Dec. 25 Shoplifting. A complainant reported a man stealing Blackwood cigars from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue. 

Dec. 26 Shoplifting. A complainant reported multiple teens in black ski masks stealing drinks and food from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Dec. 26 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her car going missing from where she parked it on the 500 block of East Gorgas Lane.

Dec. 27 Shoplifting. A complainant who is an employee at the Acme, located on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue, reported two city employees entering the store and leaving with food they did not purchase. There is security footage of the theft.

Dec. 28 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her car going missing from where she parked it on the 6400 block of Sprague Street.

Dec. 28 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car going missing from where they parked it on the 900 block of East Johnson Street.

Dec. 28 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported items being stolen from her vehicle, which was parked on the 100 block of East Durham Street. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Dec. 28 Vandalism. Police observed an offender break the window and ignition in a car that was parked on the 1200 block of East Johnson Street. The offender fled once he saw police.

Dec. 29 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the catalytic converter being stolen off their vehicle while it was parked on the 300 block of East Allens Lane.

Dec. 30 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported finding her car, which was parked on the 100 block of East Phil Ellena Street, with the ignition broken.

Dec. 30 Vandalism. A complainant reported finding their car, which was parked on the 6700 block of Crittenden Street, with damage to the window and steering column.

Dec. 31 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car going missing from where they parked it on the 400 block of Vernon Street.

Dec. 31 Theft. A complainant reported her phone being stolen out of a shopping cart at the Acme, located on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue. 

Jan. 1 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her car going missing from where she parked it on the 400 block of East Upsal Street.

Jan. 1 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car keys and car being taken without permission from the 6600 block of Ardleigh Street.

Jan. 4 Shoplifting. A complainant reported an offender stealing laundry detergent, body wash and baby items from the CVS Pharmacy, located on the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive.

Jan. 5 Shoplifting. An employee at a business in Market Square, located on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street, was caught preparing food for herself and leaving the store with it. 

Jan. 5 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported having the gun stolen from the front passenger seat of his car, which was parked on the 6700 block of Emlen Street. The car window was smashed.

Jan. 6 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant gave their car and key to someone they found on Facebook who said he could complete a repair. The drop off occurred at the corner of Emlen and West Johnson Street. Since dropping the car off, the person from Facebook has taken down his website and refused to answer calls.
