The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Feb. 13 - 19. 

Chestnut Hill

Feb. 13 Aggravated assault. A complainant reported being stabbed in the leg by an offender inside an apartment building on the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike. 

Feb. 16 Shoplifting. A complainant reported an offender leaving the CVS located on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with unknown items he didn’t pay for before fleeing. 

Mt. Airy 

Feb. 13 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her vehicle going missing from the 400 block of East Upsal Street. 

Feb. 14 Vandalism. A complainant reported having the steering column of their car tampered with after somebody broke into the car, which was parked on the 6600 block of Blakemore Street.. 

Feb 14 Burglary. Surveillance footage shows an unknown person breaking into the Mt. Airy Taproom, located on the 300 block of W. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, and stealing money from the register. 

Feb. 14 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the license plate being stolen from her car, which was parked on the unit block of West Phil Ellena Street.

Feb. 14 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the catalytic converter being stolen from their car, which was parked on the unit block of McPherson Street.

Feb. 15 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her vehicle going missing from the 200 block of West Sedgwick Street. 

Feb. 15 Theft. A complainant reported hiring a cleaning team to clean the carpets in her house, located on the unit block of West Hortter Street, after a flood. The cleaning company never cleaned and instead stole items from the complainant’s bathroom. 

Feb. 15 Shoplifting. An offender left the Wawa, located on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, with drinks and snacks he didn’t pay for. 

Feb. 15 Shoplifting. An offender left the CVS, located on the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive, with diapers and paper towels he didn’t pay for. 

Feb. 15 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the catalytic converter being stolen from their car, which was parked on the 300 block of East Mt. Pleasant Avenue.

Feb. 15 Burglary. A complainant reported his property, located on the 300 block of East Cliveden Street, being broken into by a former tenant who was recently evicted.

Feb. 15 Shoplifting. A man left the Wawa, located on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, with 15 Red Bulls he didn’t pay for. 

Feb. 16 Theft. A complainant reported a package being stolen off their front porch, located on the 1200 block of East Cliveden Street. 

Feb. 16 Vandalism. A complainant reported an offender attempting to steal her license plate while her car was parked on the 6800 block of Milton Street.

Feb. 17 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported having his car stolen from where he parked it, near Sacred Heart Manor, located on the 6400 block of Germantown Avenue. 

Feb. 17 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her vehicle going missing from the 7100 block of Devon Street. 

Feb. 17 Shoplifting. A complainant left the Wine and Spirits store, located on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, with a bottle of Jack Daniel’s that he didn’t pay for. 

Feb. 18 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car being stolen from the 6700 block of Blakemore Street.

Feb. 19 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car being stolen from the 100 block of West Mt. Pleasant Avenue.

Feb. 19 Shoplifting. A complainant left the Wine and Spirits store, located on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, with a bottle of vodka he didn’t pay for.
