The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from June 5 - 12. 

Chestnut Hill

June 5 Shoplifting. A complainant witnessed an offender leave the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with drinks and other items they did not pay for. 

June 5 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant’s car was broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail entrance by West Northwestern Avenue and Forbidden Drive. Multiple items, including AirPods, cash and a purse were taken. 

June 6 Shoplifting. A complainant witnessed an offender leave the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with bath products they did not pay for. 

June 6 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman who parked near the Wissahickon Trail entrance by West Northwestern Avenue and Stenton Avenue had her purse stolen from her car. The window was shattered. 

June 8 Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported her car going missing from the 8000 block of Winston Street.

June 8 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported parking her car on the 8100 block of Lincoln Drive before her dog ran off. After chasing down the dog, she returned to her car to find items, including credit cards and house keys, missing from the car.

June 9 Shoplifting. A complainant witnessed an offender leave the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with bath products they did not pay for. 

June 9 Shoplifting. A complainant witnessed an offender leave the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with medications they did not pay for. 

June 10 Shoplifting. A male was observed stealing vodka from the wine and spirits store, located on the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue. 

June 11 Shoplifting. A complainant witnessed an offender leave the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue with cleaning supplies they did not pay for. 

June 11 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported her purse being stolen out of her friend's car, which was parked on the 200 block of West Northwestern Avenue. 

June 11 Theft from motor vehicle. A man reported having baby formula and diapers stolen from his car, which was parked near the intersection of Germantown Avenue and Bells Mill Road. His car window was shattered.

June 11 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported her car window being smashed after parking it near the intersection of West Wissahickon Avenue and East Northwestern Avenue. A gym bag with miscellaneous items was stolen. 

Mt. Airy

June 1 Theft. A complainant reported a package being stolen from their house, which is located on the unit block of Slocum Street.

June 6 Burglary. A man arrived at his house, located on the 400 block of Vernon Road, to find his rear door broken. A television, washer and dryer were stolen from the residence. 

June 6 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant who parked near the Wissahickon Trail entrance by West Hortter Street and Park Line Drive had a wallet and keys stolen from their car. The window was shattered. 

June 6 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported having clothing and tools stolen from their vehicle, which was parked on the 200 block of East Cliveden Street. The window was shattered.

June 8 Theft. A complainant reported a package being stolen from the vestibule of her apartment building, which is located on the 7000 block of Cresheim Road.

June 8 Burglary. Police arrived at Vivid Hair Salon, located on the 6500 block of Germantown Avenue, to find the front glass door shattered. Items, including hair products and an iPad, were stolen from inside.

June 11 Motor vehicle theft. A woman who parked on the 300 block of East Cliveden Street reported her car being broken into and having the steering column tampered with. 

June 12 Motor vehicle theft. A man who parked on the 1200 block of East Cliveden Street reported his car being broken into and having the steering column tampered with.
