The following is for crimes reported for the period from March 3 to March 9.  (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Feb. 2. Theft From Motor Vehicle. A man reported his car broken into and his wallet stolen in the 800 block of Wolcott Drive.

March 2. Shoplifting. An offender stole various cleaning supplies from a retail store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

The following is for crimes reported for the period from March 3 to March 9.  (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Feb. 2. Theft From Motor Vehicle. A man reported his car broken into and his wallet stolen in the 800 block of Wolcott Drive.

March 2. Shoplifting. An offender stole various cleaning supplies from a retail store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. 

March 2. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Honda Accord stolen in the 7900 block of Crittenden Street. 

March 2. Shoplifting. Police arrested a man who attempted to shoplift paper towels and detergent from a store in the 7700 block of Germantown Ave. 

March 4. Shoplifting. An offender stole a bottle of liquor from a State Liquor Store in the 8700 block of Germantown Ave. 

March 6. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Audi Q7 stolen in the 100 block of West Evergreen Ave. 

March 6. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported to police that they parked their car at the Septa Train Station in the 100 block of West Evergreen and when she returned, her car was missing.

March 8. Motor vehicle theft. A man parked his car in the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue and when he returned the Honda was missing.

March 9. Shoplifting. A man entered the spirits store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue and took beverages valued at $70.98 without paying.

Mt. Airy 

July 5, 2022. Rape. A woman walked into Special Victims Unit office and reported that an offender had raped her in her apartment in the 6600 block of Lincoln Drive in 2022.

Feb. 5. Theft. A woman reported her package stolen in the 500 block of West Hortter Street. 

March 2. Shoplifting. An unknown offender stole several items from a retail store in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive. 

March 3. Shoplifting. An offender stole shaving products from CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive. 

March 3. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Honda CRV stolen in the 700 block of Carpenter Lane. 

March 3. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. An unknown person stole a license plate off a man’s car in the 6900 block of Boyer Street.

March 4. Theft From Motor Vehicle. A complainant reported their car broken into and their wallet stolen in the 6800 block of Emlen Street.

March 4. Aggravated Assault. An offender approached a man in his car and started ransacking his vehicle, before threatening him with a handgun in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street. 

March 5. Burglary. A man attempted to break into a woman's apartment, flashing his gun and kicking the door several times in the Unit block of East Cliveden Street.

March 5. Aggravated Assault. A man stabbed a complainant with a steak knife, in the 200 block of Montana Street, during a dispute over a loud television and the whereabouts of his wallet.

March 5. Robbery. A complainant was delivering packages when an offender broke into his van, pointed a gun at him and stole packages in the 6700 block of Chew Ave. 

March 6. Shoplifting. An offender stole several items from a retail store in the 6500 block of Greene Street. 

March 6. Aggravated Assault. An offender broke into an apartment, in the 6400 block of Greene Street, attacked the complainant and fired a gun before fleeing. 

March 6. Theft. A woman near Greene Street and Walnut Lane told police she was arguing with a man over a cell phone when she left the residence to drive to Delaware. The man followed her in his car and blocked the woman’s car after the woman pulled over to make way for an ambulance. The man then removed the woman’s license plate and drove away

March 6. Robbery. A man near the intersection of East Mt. Airy and Germantown Avenues reported that two offenders side-swiped his vehicle and when everyone got out to seemingly exchange insurance information, the offenders drew handguns, aimed them at the man’s chest and took $131.

March 7. Motor vehicle theft. Complainant in the 7000 block of Cresheim Road told police that he went outside to leave for work and his car was gone.

March 7. Motor vehicle theft. A woman in the 118 block of East Pleasant Street was loaned a vehicle by Car Max while her own car was being repaired. When she returned to the parking space, the Car Max car was gone.
