The following is for crimes reported for the period from March 24 to April 6. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

March 24. Shoplifting. Police arrested an offender attempting to steal various items from a grocery store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

March 25. Theft. A complainant reported a woman stealing various items while moving out of their home in the 8500 block of Seminole Avenue. 

March 25. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Honda CRV stolen in the 200 block of West Evergreen Avenue.

March 25. Shoplifting. An offender stole a bottle of gin from a liquor store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

March 27. Theft. A man stole a package off a porch in the 300 block of East Willow Grove. 

March 28. Aggravated Assault. In the Unit block of Bethlehem Pike, an offender assaulted a SEPTA driver and slammed into the glass window at Primo Hoagies, breaking it. The offender fled, and the man was transported to the hospital. 

March. 29. Shoplifting. An offender stole a bottle of bourbon from a liquor store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

March 31. Shoplifting. An offender stole various items from a grocery store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

March 31. Shoplifting. A man stole a grill from Kilian Hardware at the 8400 block of Germantown Avenue. Employees observed the man dragging the grill across Germantown Avenue. 

April 1. Shoplifting. An offender stole household goods from CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

April 2. Shoplifting. Police arrested an offender who stole various items from ACME in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. 

April 2. Sodomy. A female reported that she was sexually assaulted in the bathroom by a male in the 8800 block of Crefeld Street. 

April 3. Shoplifting. A man stole various items from a grocery store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

April 6. Aggravated Assault. A man reported being stabbed during a dispute at Chestnut Hill Hospital in the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue. 

Mt. Airy

March 24. Shoplifting. Police arrested an offender attempting to steal various items from CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue. 

March 25. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Honda Accord stolen in the 1200 block of East Cliveden Street.

March 25. Shoplifting. An offender stole drinks and snacks from CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive. 

March 26. Shoplifting. A woman stole breakfast sandwiches from Wawa in the 7200 black of Germantown Avenue. 

March 28. Shoplifting. An offender stole a pastry from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Ave. 

March 30. Murder and Non-negligent Manslaughter. Police responded to what appears to be a murder-suicide in the 100 block of West Upsal Street. A man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds to the head. 

March 30. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Dodge Charger stolen in the 400 block of East Sharpnack Street. 

April 1. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Ford Escape stolen in the 6700 block of Blakemore Street. 

April 1. Shoplifting. A repeat offender, who works for the Philadelphia School District, stole coffee and donuts from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue. 

April 2. Theft From Motor Vehicle. Police arrested a man who stole a wallet in the 200 block of East Mount Pleasant Avenue. 

April 2. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Mitsubishi Eclipse stolen in the 600 block of Vernon Road. 

April 2. Theft. An offender stole a woman’s phone on a Septa bus at the corner of Germantown Avenue and Upsal Street. 

April 2. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Subaru Forester stolen in the 7000 block of Marion Lane. 

April 4. Shoplifting. A group of juveniles stole various food items from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue. 

April 5. Shoplifting. Offenders stole various food items from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
