The following is for crimes reported from Aug. 4 to Aug. 10. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

July 31. Motor Vehicle Theft. Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue.

The following is for crimes reported from Aug. 4 to Aug. 10. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

July 31. Motor Vehicle Theft. Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue.

Aug. 3. Shoplifting. An offender stole $300 worth of food from a grocery store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Aug. 6. Motor vehicle theft. A man in the 200 block of Mermaid Lane discovered that his car was missing when he returned to his parking spot in the morning.

Aug. 7. Aggravated assault. A man told police he was struck in the face with a brick while walking in the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue. He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Aug. 7. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant told police that they parked their Jeep in the 7600 block of Stenton Avenue and when they returned the vehicle was gone.

Aug. 7. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant in the 7900 block of Stenton Avenue reported that she parked her car at her apartment complex and when she returned, the Dodge Charger was gone.

Aug. 10. Credit card/automated teller machine fraud. A woman reported her car broken into and credit cards stolen at the intersection of Wolcott Drive and Valley Green Road. The offender used her credit cards to make a purchase at Best Buy.

Aug. 10. Theft from building. Police arrested offenders who stole lumber from a construction site in the 8200 block of Shawnee Street.

Mt. Airy

July 29. Aggravated assault. A woman reported to police that her friend assaulted her, punching her in the face at his house in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street.

July 31. Shoplifting. Offenders stole $90 worth of Red Bull energy drinks from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 31. Shoplifting. Offenders stole $150 worth of beauty products from a retail store in the 6500 block of Greene Street.

Aug. 1. Shoplifting. Offenders stole $80 worth of Red Bull energy drinks from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 4. Robbery. A woman reported a suspect taking her handgun before wrestling it back before the suspect fled in the 100 block of Pleasant Street.

Aug. 4. Motor vehicle theft. A man reported his Lexus IS 350 stolen in the 300 block of West Hortter Street.

Aug. 4. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported unknown offenders breaking into her car and stealing $20 in the 6900 block of Heyward Street.

Aug. 4. Burglary. A man reported an unknown person breaking into his apartment in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street and stealing a camera and cash.

Aug. 4. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their Lexus GS 350 stolen in the 300 block of East Gorgas Lane.

Aug. 6. Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported her Toyota Matrix stolen in the 500 block of Glen Echo Road.

Aug. 6. Shoplifting. An offender stole a bottle of wine from ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 6. Motor vehicle theft. A man reported his Nissan Altima stolen in the 500 block of Pelham Road.

Aug. 6. Shoplifting. A group of juveniles stole food from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 6. Shoplifting. A man stole frozen beef from a grocery store in the unit block of West Hortter Street.

Aug. 6. Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported her Honda CR-V stolen in the 600 block of West Ellet Street.

Aug. 6. Motor vehicle theft. The owner of a vehicle parked outside his house in the 900 block of Sedgwick Street was sleeping when he was awakened by the sound of offenders outside his house and the start of a car engine. When he looked outside, his Nissan Maxima was gone.

Aug. 7. Theft. A complainant in the unit block of East Cliveden Street told police that someone took her package that was in the lobby.

Aug. 7. Theft. A woman told police that someone stole her black bike from an apartment building storage area in the 300 block of Hortter Street.

Aug. 7. Theft. A woman told police that she witnessed (via her Ring camera) a man stealing a package containing children’s clothes valued at $221.92 from her porch in the 1200 block of East Mt. Airy Avenue.

Aug. 7. Aggravated assault. A man told police he was working on his car in the 200 block of Johnson Street when an offender who lives in the same apartment complex confronted him, with his hand placed on a brown firearm tucked in his waistband, and said he was going “to blow his head off.”

Aug. 7. Theft. A Snapple, Sizzli, hash brown, and coffee, valued at $10, were taken without payment from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 7. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant told police that she parked her car in the 300 block of West Johnson and when she returned the Kia Optima was missing.

Aug. 7. Vandalism. Complainant told police that someone broke into their gray Hyundai Elantra parked in the unit block of West Allens Lane, ripped out the steering column causing $1,000 in damage, and took sunglasses valued at $350.

Aug. 8. Shoplifting. An offender stole two boxes of Ensure drinks from CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive.

Aug. 8. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car broken into and their laptop stolen in the 6600 block of Ardleigh Street.

Aug. 8. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car broken into and $15 in coins stolen in the 6600 block of Ardleigh Street.

Aug. 8. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their Acura RDX stolen in the 7100 block of Crittenden Street.

Aug. 10. Rape/sodomy/sexual assault with an object. A complainant reported her mothers ex-fiancé to police saying that he sexually assaulted her starting in 2019 in the 300 block of West Johnson Street.
