The following is for crimes reported from Oct. 12 to Oct. 19. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Oct. 13. Shoplifting. A female offender entered Weavers Way Co-op and took food without paying on the 8400 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 15. Shoplifting. An offender took blankets, candy, and soap totaling $250 from the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 15. Shoplifting. An offender took five to six food items, including a pre-made sandwich and meat products totaling $75 from Weavers Way Co-op on the 8400 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 16. Shoplifting. An offender took lotion, soap, shaving cream, and razors totaling $60 from the ACME on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Oct. 16. Theft. A complainant stated the nursing staff at Chestnut Hill Hospital on the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue took her purse after she fell asleep. The nursing staff stated it was for safekeeping. The complainant claims when she got the purse back her PA ID, credit cards, 1170 English pounds, and two insurance cards were missing.

Oct. 16. Shoplifting. An offender took various items totaling $200 from CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 16. Shoplifting. An offender took body wash totaling $60 from the ACME on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Oct. 17. Damage of Property and Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated that an unknown person broke her passenger window and took a bag of school gym equipment and a purse valuing $350 on the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue.

Oct. 17. Shoplifting. An offender took clothes, hair care products, and extension cords totaling $240 from the CVS on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Mt. Airy

Oct. 12. Shoplifting. An offender came into an ACME with three juveniles, took flowers valued at $24.99, and left without paying on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue. The offender left in a Jeep with a PA license plate the police report said was stolen.

Oct. 12. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. A complainant stated his license plate was taken off his vehicle on the 6600 block of McCallum Street.

Oct. 13. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported parking her vehicle in front of her house and when she returned it was missing on the 400 block of East Mt. Airy Avenue.

Oct. 13. Shoplifting. A suspect entered a Wawa, browsed the aisles, and took various snacks, donuts, and juice before leaving without paying on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 13. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated she went outside and noticed her vehicle was stolen on the 7100 block of Chew Avenue.

Oct. 14. Shoplifting. Three offenders stole items from Wawa and left without paying on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 14. Burglary. A complainant who lives above Evo Brickoven heard a loud noise but upon inspection no one was inside. When employees came to open the shop in the morning on the 200 block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue, they discovered the back door bolt was broken and the cash register was open, missing $80.

Oct. 15. Shoplifting. A suspect took a bin containing tobacco products without paying from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 15. Shoplifting. A suspect took body soaps and hand soaps totaling $220 from the CVS on the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive.

Oct. 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant came outside to find their vehicle gone and broken glass everywhere on the 100 block of West Allens Lane.

Oct. 15. Shoplifting. An offender took various snack items from Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A car is missing after being parked at the 7300 block of Germantown Avenue.

Oct. 17. Shoplifting. An offender took cookies totaling $2.50 from the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market on the unit block of Hortter Street.

Oct. 18. Shoplifting. An offender took items and left without paying from Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
