The following is for crimes reported from May 4 to May 10. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

May 4. Shoplifting. A suspect stole alcohol from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 6. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing $123.67 worth of merchandise from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

The following is for crimes reported from May 4 to May 10. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

May 4. Shoplifting. A suspect stole alcohol from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 6. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing $123.67 worth of merchandise from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 8. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated she found her front window smashed and her purse taken from her vehicle in the intersection of Valley Green Road and Wolcott Drive.

May 9. Shoplifting. An offender stole a bottle of liquor valued at $34.99 from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 9. Shoplifting. An offender stole two bottles of alcohol valued at $74 from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 9. Aggravated Assault. Police responded to Chestnut Hill Hospital in the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue for a male that walked into the emergency room with a possible stab wound, but he refused to provide any information.

May 10. Shoplifting. A suspect was arrested after filling a backpack with four cans of OxiClean, ice cream, Tylenol, socks, and razors totaling $84.77 and leaving without paying from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 10. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stuffing his pants with merchandise from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Mt. Airy

May 4. Shoplifting. A suspect took multiple sodas and left without paying from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 5. Shoplifting. A suspect stole various food items totaling $100 from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 5. Shoplifting. A suspect stole a soda and some snacks from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 6. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated an unknown offender broke their car window and steering column in the 7000 block of Cresheim Road.

May 6. Theft from Motor Vehicle. An offender was arrested after breaking into a car, causing approximately $1,500 in damage to the rear passenger side window and steering column in the 300 block of West Mt. Airy Avenue.

May 7. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. A complainant stated offenders took a Honda remote key from his hand and fled on foot in the 6400 block of Musgrave Street.

May 7. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing water and a hash brown from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 7. Burglary. A complainant has video footage of an unknown offender forcing his way through a rear window, removing tools from the property, and putting them in a large trash bag before leaving in the 6500 block of Germantown Avenue.

May 7. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated an unknown person stole their vehicle in the 200 block of Slocum Street.

May 10. Shoplifting. An offender stole $30 worth of chips and juice from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
