The following is for crimes reported from June 28 to July 5. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

June 28. Shoplifting. An offender stole peanut butter, candy and various grocery items totaling $300-400 from the ACME in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

June 29. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A person reported their purse stolen from a Mazda CX-5 on Valley Green Road and Wolcott Drive.

June 29. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A person reported their wallet stolen from a Chevrolet Impala in the unit block of Valley Green Road. The vehicle was damaged, and the complainant’s credit cards were used.

June 30. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts. A person reported all four tires stolen from their vehicle in the 9600 block of Germantown Avenue. The vehicle’s front passenger side window was smashed.

July 1. Robbery. An offender armed with a black firearm robbed the PNC Bank in the 8300 block of Germantown Avenue. The offender fled through the front door in a gray Mazda. The bank is unsure how much money was taken.

July 2. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A person reported their wallet stolen from a Chevrolet Silverado in the unit block of Valley Green Road. The front passenger window was broken, and the offender attempted to use the complainant’s debit card.

July 3. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A person reported their purse stolen from a Ford F-150 on Valley Green Road and Wolcott Drive. The driver’s side rear window was broken.

July 3. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A person reported their purse stolen from a Toyota RAV4 in the unit block of West Bells Mill Road.

Mt. Airy

June 28. Shoplifting. An offender stole various food items from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

June 29. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts. A person reported all four wheels and tires stolen from their vehicle parked in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

June 29. Theft. A woman reported a rented U-Haul dolly stolen from her house in the 300 block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue.

June 30. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen in the 200 block of Upsal Street.

June 30. Aggravated Assault. A man reported being struck in the head with an object during an argument over leaf blowing in the 6800 block of Sprague Street. The man suffered cuts to his elbows and a large cut on his forehead and was treated at Chestnut Hill Hospital.

June 30. Theft from Motor Vehicle. An offender stole various items from a vehicle parked in the 7100 block of Boyer Street.

July 1. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A man reported his wallet stolen from his Dodge Ram in the 1000 block of Kitchens Lane. The passenger side window was broken and $2,000 were spent on his credit cards.

July 1. Shoplifting. An offender stole various items from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 1. Theft. A man reported his package stolen from his home in the 1100 block of East Johnson Street.

July 3. Motor Vehicle Theft. A person reported their Acura TLX stolen in the 6600 block of Sprague Street.

July 3. Simple Assault. A woman reported that during a domestic incident in the 500 block of Vernon Road, her husband covered her face with a pillow and threatened a murder-suicide.

July 3. Shoplifting. An offender stole various items from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 3. Shoplifting. An offender stole various items from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 4. Shoplifting. Two offenders stole various items from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.
