The following is for crimes reported from Aug. 16 to Aug. 23. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Aug. 14. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant discovered his car was stolen at the intersection of West Abington Avenue and Roanoke Street.

Aug. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Jeep Grand Cherokee was missing in the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue.

Aug. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen in the unit block of East Willow Grove Avenue.

Aug. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Acura MDX was stolen in the 7800 block of Devon Street.

Aug. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Mercedes G35 was stolen during the five minutes she exited the car to use the bathroom in the 7900 block of St. Martins Lane.

Aug. 20. Shoplifting. An offender opened a bottle of wine in ACME and began drinking it before walking out with more wine and other items in her bag in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Aug. 21. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen in the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue.

Aug. 22. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda CRV was stolen in the 300 block of East Willow Grove Avenue.

Mt. Airy

Aug. 5. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported on behalf of his stepmother that her Ford Edge was stolen in the 7100 block of Chew Avenue.

Aug. 7. Burglary. A complainant went on vacation and returned to find the deed to the house and Pokémon cards missing in the 6900 block of Wayne Avenue.

Aug. 10. Rape. A woman reported she was raped in the 6400 block of Greene Street by a man she met on Facebook.

Aug. 11. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. An unknown offender removed a catalytic converter from a car in the 7300 block of Devon Street.

Aug. 15. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant found their vehicle’s window broken and cologne missing in the 500 block of Pelham Road.

Aug. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated his child’s Acura MDX was stolen in the 6400 block of Boyer Street.

Aug. 16. Theft. A complainant stated he went away and asked his ex-girlfriend to watch his cat, but when he returned she refused to give him the cat back in the 6500 block of Wissahickon Avenue.

Aug. 17. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant found her front passenger side window broken and three pocketbooks missing in the 1000 block of Kitchens Lane.

Aug. 17. Shoplifting. An offender stole watermelon, BuzzBallz, and a handful of cookies from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 18. Aggravated Assault. A complainant and a witness got in an automobile accident when an unknown offender pulled up in his car, got out, and pointed a gun at both the complainant and the witness before leaving in the 6600 block of Lincoln Drive.

Aug. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated his Kia Sportage was stolen in the 200 block of West Upsal Street.

Aug. 18. Shoplifting. An offender stole items from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 20. Shoplifting. An offender stole diapers from the CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive.

Aug. 20. Aggravated Assault. A complainant stated an offender assaulted her and used pepper spray on her in the unit block of East Mt. Airy Avenue.

Aug. 20. Shoplifting. Multiple offenders stole chips and other food from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 21. Theft from Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her rear passenger window was broken and a briefcase, a driver’s license, an iPad, a laptop, and a purse were missing in the 600 block of St. Georges Road.

Aug. 22. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Lincoln MKX was stolen with one set of keys, a pocketbook, and a phone in the car in the 200 block of West Upsal Street.
