Scoopful Delights is a gleaming, cheery, spacious place, where owners Charles and Sharita Reyes of East Oak Lane are often assisted by their three middle school children, once homework's done. The shop is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. It's closed on Sunday.

Delightful people and delicious ice cream – what else do you need to get through the winter?
