As a long time resident of Chestnut Hill, I’m writing to express my appreciation for the work that you and your team have done to make the Local a first class community newspaper. The Local’s reporting is crisp, informative, creative and comprehensive. Your coverage of local development issues, politics, and arts and culture suggests that you have a great feel for the issues that folks in our community care about, and you tell our stories well.

As a long time resident of Chestnut Hill, I’m writing to express my appreciation for the work that you and your team have done to make the Local a first class community newspaper. The Local’s reporting is crisp, informative, creative and comprehensive. Your coverage of local development issues, politics, and arts and culture suggests that you have a great feel for the issues that folks in our community care about, and you tell our stories well. 

In an era when the coverage of local news continues to evaporate in the hands of private equity firms, the Local stands alone as a beacon of hope and optimism. You’re proof that it can be done. I can’t think of any other media outlet–at any level– that is doing a better job today than it was ten years ago. To help out a little, we’ve just made a modest contribution to the current fundraising campaign–keep up the great work!
