Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) will honor Ruth Ruth Pfeffer, an expert birder and bird photographer, during the group’s next Valley Talk scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18.
The group will discuss fall migration with avid birder and wildlife photographer Troy Bynum as part of FOW’s Valley Talk series. The event will be in person at the Valley Green Inn, and also presented on Zoom.
Host of “Wildlife Wednesdays” on FOW’s Instagram page, Bynum will also discuss the Wissahickon Valley Park’s important role in supporting birds during the fall season. The park provides rich resources for food and habitat as the birds prepare for their journeys south.
This Valley Talk is presented in honor of Pfeffer, a longtime friend of FOW and owner of Birding with Ruth. Pfeffer died in May at 80.
