The event comprises a single-day series of recreational bicycle rides (not a race) offering routes from 6 miles round-trip to 100 miles round-trip through Montgomery and Chester counties. The event, organized by the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia, is scheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 13.

There are seven routes from which to choose — from relaxed rides on scenic paved trails to challenging road adventures. There are four road routes for serious cyclists and two paved trail routes for more casual riders. Check-in for these recreational rides is at 7 a.m., and riders leave at their own pace before 9 a.m.
This year there’s also a new, free, family-friendly 6-mile round-trip ride, with check-in at 9 a.m. and start at 10 a.m.
Walk-up registration is available for all rides.
Rest stops for some or all of the rides are at AIM Academy, the Phoenixville YMCA and Ridge Fire Company. Coffee, bagels and fresh fruit will be available at the start; fresh fruit and homemade baked goods at all rest stops; a celebratory pizza party at the finish.
On-course support will be offered by drivers patrolling the routes and marshals stationed at key locations.
Scenic highlights on some or all of the rides include picturesque stretches of the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Valley Forge National Historical Park, four historic covered bridges and Chester County’s scenic horse country with rolling hills.
The event is rain or shine. Helmets are required.
