Having been through this challenging process when we expanded our business in 2019, I am delighted at the proposed pilot program to streamline and encourage new businesses considering coming to Chestnut Hill. As an established business, 90-plus years in, the process was long, drawn out, expensive and discouraging. We suffered through it but gladly support a less arduous process, one that encourages and celebrates new businesses. We think the proposed pilot program is thorough and fair. If, after a year’s run, it needs to be tweaked, that can be addressed.
