On the morning of Nov. 12, 2020, Joan Hobson Smyth passed away peacefully in Green Cove Springs, FL after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Joan was born on January 28, 1931 in Philadelphia, the daughter of William and Evelyn Hobson and wife of Thomas W. Smyth. She attended Springside School and was in the class of 1948. She worked for many years at Robertson’s Florist on Germantown Ave. In 1985, she and Tom moved to Ormond Beach, FL, where they could be closer to her son and grandchildren. She had a passion for golf and gardening. She is survived by her children, William A. Davis of St. Augustine, FL and Holly Davis of Seal Beach,CA., and three step children; Anita Smyth, Thomas W. Smyth and Andrew Smyth. Funeral services will be private.
