Kathleen Grace Santanasto, of Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 94.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent, and her extended family including her nieces MaryEllen Taylor Stephan (and Joe Stephan), Kathryn Taylor Mitchell, Claire Taylor Feeser (and Dave Feeser), Terri Taylor Capinski, Veronica Taylor Nash (and Don Nash), nephew John Taylor and niece/nephew in law Rosemary and Bill Meier.
Kathleen was the daughter of John and Ellen Carberry of Germantown, Pa and subsequently Chestnut Hill, Pa. She was a beloved sister and sister-in-law to Eileen Carberry Taylor and John Taylor of Plymouth Meeting.
After graduating from Little Flower High School, Kathleen spent over 40 years working in the corporate offices of Strawbridge & Clothier in Philadelphia before retiring to care for her mother.
Kathleen was a dedicated member of Our Mother of Consolation parish in Chestnut Hill where she volunteered her time in numerous capacities. She was an avid gardener and until a year ago, wouldn’t hesitate to grab a shovel to plant something new. Together, Kathleen and Vince loved walking the trails of the Wissahickon, gathering with family at PlyMar Swim Club and exploring their beloved Chestnut Hill community.
A viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. will be held on Friday, October 18, at Our Mother of Consolation, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
