New Habitat for Humanity ReStore in the Neighborhood

Budget-friendly shopping that builds homes.

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia recently opened the doors to its second ReStore, following the popular example of its South Philadelphia counterpart. The new store and donation center, located at 3111 West Allegheny Avenue, offers a unique selection of new and gently-used furniture, appliances, décor and more at a fraction of the retail price. All profits are then reinvested into Habitat Philadelphia’s work to build and repair homes alongside families in need.

Since opening, bargain hunters and DIY enthusiasts have become repeat customers, generous donors continually stock the store with deals, and an amazing team of staff and volunteers keep everything running smoothly.

Here’s how the ReStore offers a budget-friendly, sustainable shopping experience that makes a difference in the community.

  1. Endless discounts and deals. In addition to weekly sales and promotions on all your favorites, the ReStores offer a rotating discount system. Each furniture and appliance price tag features a colored stamp, representing discounts of up to 50% off. The colors are shuffled bi-weekly, so shoppers who check back often score the best prices. It's also not unusual to find a free piece or two waiting for a new home!
  2. Free donation pickups made simple. The ReStores offer two options for donating new and gently-used items. Simply drop off eligible furniture Tuesday-Saturday between 10am-4pm or easily schedule a free donation pickup online. Once the digital form is complete, our team of drivers will remove the furniture from your home at no cost to you.
  3. Unique inventory of high-quality pieces. With secondhand home goods arriving daily and plenty of brand-new furniture and décor available still in the box, there’s something for everyone. Every piece is individually inspected and approved by our donation team, creating an ever-changing selection of furniture and appliances that our customers love.
  4. Waste diversion and sustainability. In a year, the Habitat Philadelphia ReStores divert more than 190 tons of quality furniture pieces from landfills and reinvest those profits into affordable home projects in Philadelphia. We protect the environment and transform lives through affordable homeownership. Because everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Stop in and say hello Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, visit our website, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get involved!
