Philadelphia250, a program of the Philadelphia Visitor Center, is launching “Neighborhood Jawnts,” a free citywide tour series celebrating the culture, creativity and small businesses that define Philadelphia’s neighborhoods.
“Philadelphia is the birthplace of democracy, but what truly defines us are our neighborhoods, from East Passyunk to Germantown, from West Philadelphia to Olney,” said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker in a news release.

The series will feature 20 experiences, each spotlighting a different community, with tours running each weekend beginning May 29. Tour itineraries have been curated in partnership with local organizations.
In Northwest Philadelphia, the tours will include:
* June 5-7, Main Street’s New Warp, an exploration of Manayunk’s transformation from an industrial mill town to a creative hub;
* July 17-19, If These Walls Could Talk: Central Germantown Architectural Landmarks;
* July 24-26: Where Philly Breathes, Architectural Diversity and Gilded Remnants (Chestnut Hill / Mt. Airy).
