In the obituary you ran about my sister Suzanne Leaming Bagwell (April 9), you included information about her and her demise that I am sure my sister Liz told you, and it is refreshing to see details one might hesitate to mention right there. Why not? Liz is a straight talker with a good sense of diplomacy. She is wise and honest, too.
I am pretty sure that was the last photograph of all 10 of us. I have shared it with the family members who are scattered around the country. We all have very funny stories about Suzanne, and I think it is time we went back to them and not just her sudden …

I am pretty sure that was the last photograph of all 10 of us. I have shared it with the family members who are scattered around the country. We all have very funny stories about Suzanne, and I think it is time we went back to them and not just her sudden death.
You have helped in the subtle process of coming to terms with such an event. When my mother passed on last Thanksgiving, we were all prepared. It still was a final event that had to sink in, but she was past enjoying life. Suzanne, however, had years to go if sepsis had not gotten in the way. Glad you mentioned that detail.
