Rosanna Chanler Harris of Easton, Maryland formerly of Philadelphia and New York City died peacefully on October 30, 2025.
She was born in London, England on August 7, 1929 to Lewis Stuyvesant Chanler and Leslie Murray of New York City.
Mrs. Harris attended The Brearley School in New York and graduated from Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, Maryland. Additionally, she attended classes at La Sorbonne in Paris.
Mrs. Harris was President of The Garden Club of Philadelphia, head of The Women’s Committee of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and President of The Women of St. Paul’s Church in Chestnut Hill. She was also a volunteer at The Philadelphia Museum of Art and a lifetime watercolor painter.
She is survived by her three sons - Montgomery Harris III, John Harris, Richard Harris and her six grandchildren – Kaitlin Thomas, Brendan Harris, Alexander Harris, Amelia Harris, Samuel Harris and Emily Harris - and her four great-grandchildren Graham, Max, Lilah and Julie.
A memorial service will be held December 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Messiah in Lower Gwynedd, PA.
