Pfeffer, Ruth (nee MacAntee) passed away on May 31, 2022, age 80, of Willow Grove. Beloved wife of the late Daniel. Loving mother of David, Daniel (Beverley) and Ruth (Mark). Grandmother of Daniel, Kayla, Laura, Erin, Alex (Kaley), Abby, Luke, Nate, Michael (Meghan) and Kristen (Jay). Great grandmother of Finnegan, Maeve, Brennan, Ennis, Armand, Elaina and Paisley.

 Ruth graduated from Boniface Business School and took several courses at Montgomery County Community College. She grew up in Parkland, lower Bucks County and then moved to the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Ruth and Dan moved to the Logan section of Philadelphia after getting married. They met in a large group of young people (14 to 22 years of age) in the Kensington section. Of course, their 1st date was to Brigantine, NJ. They had three children. David, Dan and Ruth and moved to Willow Grove, PA. Ruth has been in business for 39 years with Birding with Ruth. Her mentors included Charlie Wonderly, Herb Cutler, Dale Twining and Freda Rappaport. She took her 1st class at Schuylkill Environmental Education Center and then taught there. She birded or taught at Morris Arboretum, Audubon, North Penn, Mount Airy Learning Tree, Hawk Watch, Dixon Meadow, Cape May and Chincoteague. And led trips to Costa Rica, Panama, Belize and Trinadad-Tobago. David writes "My Mom was very active at Holy Redeemer and Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Mom created a nature photo collection which included her pictures with inspirational quotes that was given to patients at the cancer center. Mom worked in a collaboration with Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Pfizer to inform patients on how to prepare for a telehealth visit (telemedicine videos). Mom was also asked to be part of a patient advisory board at Holy Redeemer to help patients during their journey."

 All are invited to Ruth's "Celebration of Life" will be at Shelly Ridge of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania at 330 Manor Road, Miquon (Lafayette Hill) PA at 11 AM on Saturday, August 20th, 2022.  Her interment took place privately.
