After a seven-month search, the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy board of trustees announced that Dr. Stephen L. Druggan will become the school’s head of school on July 1, 2016.
Druggan will come to SCH from the Jakarta Intercultural School in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he has served as the deputy head of school since 2011. Prior to that he served schools in Munich, Germany and Milan, Italy.
A native of western Pennsylvania, Druggan, 46, is a 1991 graduate of Slippery Rock University and earned a masters degree at the United States International University in London in 1994 and an Ed.D. at Nova Southeastern University in Miami in 2007.
He and his wife Pia have two sons, Kilian and Alec.
