During the snowstorm last week, I was sitting in my den wondering how I was going to get out of this mess, my snow-covered driveway, when I heard a noise outside. I went to the window and there was my next-door neighbor, shoveling my driveway.
He did the whole thing, and I thanked him. He told me the only thing he wanted was a bottle of bourbon, so I bought him a gallon. There are still good people in this world.
