Spring at Morris Arboretum

Morris Arboretum & Gardens will host a series of springtime events in April that will guide visitors on tours of the gardens and lead them in webinars discussing climate concerns and a new book, “Private Gardens of Philadelphia.”

The Spring Buds & Blossom tour will meet at the Welcome Center at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13. Participants on the guided walking tour will discover vibrant flowering trees and colorful blooms. On April 20, at 11 a.m., visitors can tour the Arboretum’s magnolias and more.

Virtual offerings include a noon discussion on April 18 about how to help forests and wildlife respond to a changing climate. The book “Private Gardens of Philadelphia,” a coffee-table by Nicole Juday that looks at 21 area landscapes, will be featured during a webinar Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m.

Juday will visit the Arboretum, Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m., in the Upper Gallery in the Welcome Center. The author will sign copies of her book and guests also are invited to explore the Arboretum’s gardens.
