Thanks for supporting the bicycle parade

Having “Good Morning America” live from Germantown Avenue was very exciting and helped set the scene on Hartwell Avenue for an incredible tradition dating back to 1916 – Chestnut Hill’s 4th of July Celebration – including the decorated Bicycle Parade. 

Since 1981, the Bocce Club has sponsored this celebration, which includes free hot dogs, juice, ice cream, races, games, balloons, face painting and a magic show. This year, bikes were featured in storefront windows as part of the ongoing initiative “Wheels in the Windows.”

Having “Good Morning America” live from Germantown Avenue was very exciting and helped set the scene on Hartwell Avenue for an incredible tradition dating back to 1916 – Chestnut Hill’s 4th of July Celebration – including the decorated Bicycle Parade.

The event was another great illustration of the entire community coming together for a special event. We hope next year more people will get involved and this will be an even better celebration!
