Rookie Drillers Coach Jon Sgro shared about Tuesday's effort: "The Drillers were held scoreless, but they loaded the bases twice and continued to play with a lot of grit. Connor Rich was injured by a pitch to the hand but later returned and got a base hit." The Mt. Airy Athletics won 5-0.
Junior Baseball Commissioner Dan Greenberg noted on Saturday's game that "the Dodgers won a tight game against the Angels 6-4. Tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, the Dodgers picked up two runs on an RBI single by Max Marian-Landais and an RBI triple by Huer Nyman. Jack Neducsin closed out the game for the Dodgers by striking out the side in the top of the sixth."
CHYSC parent Becca Robinson shared that her daughter "Molly is having a lot of fun on the Dodgers playing second base and outfield."
Rookie Mudcats Coach Mark Mancini scrolled over score sheets with two sets of game-tying details from the Mudcats: Thursday's 6-6 tie with the Mt. Airy Blue Jays and Saturday's 2-2 tie with the CHYSC Drillers.
"Every player on The Bee's team had a hit on Saturday," said Coach Boo White. "The kids continue to have fun and get better each week."
