A large, festive crowd gathered at Woodmere on Saturday evening for Chestnut Hill’s annual Circle of Trees Celebration. Santa arrived on an antique fire truck, with music from the Mummers and more. There was hot chocolate, cider, cookies, and goody bags for the kids. The event was started in 1986 by the Chestnut Hill Community Association, with five area schools that decorated ornaments and gathered for music and community as well as to ring in the holiday season.
