The day begins with a series of morning seminars and resources from 9 a.m. until noon, including a job fair (9-11:30 a.m.) featuring employers seeking to hire qualified candidates. There also will be an estate planning seminar, and a health seminar sponsored by ArchWell Health that will focus on practical strategies for healthier living.
Beginning at noon, the outdoor festival transforms the church parking lot and Ardleigh Street into a community celebration featuring activities for every age, including live gospel music and entertainment; a health pavilion and social service resources; a kids’ zone with inflatables, games and family activities; a free paper-shredding event; CPR demonstrations; a Zumba fitness session; a self-defense workshop; food vendors and community exhibitors; and the chance to explore a fire truck and meet first responders. Councilwoman Cindy Bass also is scheduled to attend.
