The exhibition is an opportunity for collectors, designers, and homeowners to explore design options. It opens on Nov. 28 and will run during all three of Chestnut Hill’s Stag and Doe evenings, on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 5-9 p.m., with its first opening reception on Dec. 5.
“Designed to Dwell” is the gallery’s first exhibition primarily devoted to furniture and lighting involving contemporary craft. The artists conceive, design, and hand-make every piece themselves. It will offer objects that are both functional and sculptural, in ways that are “inviting designers and homeowners to create spaces that are truly unique and disregard trends,” according to a gallery press release.
In addition to the works on view, catalogs of other available works will be available during the exhibition.
Gravers Lane Gallery is located at 8405 Germantown Ave.
