In advance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show’s upcoming 50th anniversary on Oct. 1, Laurel Hill’s Cinema in the Cemetery presents a screening and shadowcast of the film that brought fishnet stockings into the mainstream and made Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Meat Loaf (among others) household names. And again — I cannot emphasize this enough — Tim Curry, bless his gorgeous, strutting gams and Theda Bara maquillage.

Presented in partnership with the Friends of Laurel Hill and Transylvanian Nipple Productions (TNP), a shadowcast means performers in technicolor costumes lip syncing along with the the characters onscreen. Study up on the expected retorts, and bring along all necessary props (when Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon’s Brad and Janet hop out of their car and into in a rainstorm, it is appropriate to spritz your neighbor with a water bottle).

If you bring a chair and/or blanket, most of your other needs can be met by popup food trucks Dump-n-Roll, Dos Hermanos Tacos, and Philadelphia Brewing Company.
