Woodmere neighbor and donor Sebastian Cabrera recently visited the museum to present a $200 donation raised through his own creative efforts. In the weeks leading up to the holidays, 5-year-old Sebastian handcrafted festive Christmas ornaments and sold them to friends, family, and neighbors, dedicating all proceeds to support Woodmere. Accompanied by his mother, Valerie Muvdi, Sebastian proudly presented the check to Woodmere Development Manager Sara Stewart. This is not Sebastian’s first act of philanthropy on behalf of the museum. In September 2024, he teamed up with his friend Alaia Beale to host an iced tea stand featuring homegrown lavender and mint from their garden, sweetened with locally sourced honey. Once again, the young entrepreneurs donated all proceeds to Woodmere.
