The following is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Sept. 15. to Sept. 22. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill 

Sept. 15. Shoplifting. An offender stole cosmetic items from ACME at the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. 

Sept. 16. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his rental car stolen at the 8300 block of Crittenden Street. 

Sept. 20. Fraud. A woman was sitting on the patio at Chestnut Hill Brewery, at the 8200 block of Germantown Avenue, when she got a fraud notification from her bank. An unknown woman was caught on camera attempting to use the woman’s credit card at CVS. 

Sept. 20. Theft. A woman dropped her wallet at the 200 block of East Gravers Lane and later noticed purchases from Walmart on her card. 

Sept. 20. Theft. A woman reported that an unknown person stole Ray Ban sunglasses from her car at the 7900 block of Lincoln Drive. 

Sept. 22. Shoplifting. An unknown offender stole a cart full of items from a grocery store at the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. 

Sept. 22. Theft. Multiple complainants reported their cars broken into and wallets stolen at the unit block of West Bells Mill Road. 

Sept. 22. Shoplifting. Two unknown offenders stole wine and beer from a retail store at the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. 

Sept. 22. Shoplifting. An offender stole hair products from a drug store at the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue. 

Mt. Airy

Sept. 5. Theft. A woman reported a checkbook stolen from her mailbox at the 300 block of West Johnson Street. 

Sept. 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Nissan Maxima stolen at the 100 block of East Sedgwick Street. 

Sept. 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Kawasaki Motorcycle stolen at the 200 block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue. 

Sept. 16. Assault. After a verbal dispute, a man was thrown down and had his face smashed into the ground by an offender at the 200 block of East Phil Ellena Street. 

Sept. 17. Shoplifting. Two offenders stole chips, water and lemonade from Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave. 

Sept. 17. Shoplifting. A manager witnessed offenders steal snacks from Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave. 

Sept. 17. Theft. A woman reported vehicle documentation and an E-ZPass stolen from her car at the Unit block of East Sharpnack Street. 

Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Kia Niro stolen at the 700 block of Carpenter Lane. 

Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Hyundai Accent stolen at the 6400 block of Germantown Ave. 

Sept. 18. Shoplifting. Police arrested a man who attempted to steal several items from CVS at the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive. 

Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Hyundai Accent stolen at the 6900 block of Weatham Street. 

Sept. 18. Credit Card/Automated Teller Machine Fraud. A woman reported that her ex-girlfriend stole her phone and transferred money from her Cash App at the 6300 block of Greene Street. 

Sept. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported the passenger window and steering column broken in her Hyundai Accent at the 6400 block of Germantown Ave. 

Sept. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported the driver’s side window and steering column broken in her Kia Soul at the Unit Block of Pleasant Street. 

Sept. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported the rear passenger window and steering column of her Kia Forte broken at the Unit block of West Pomona Street. 

Sept. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported the rear passenger window and steering column of her Kia Forte broken at the Unit block of Meehan Avenue. 

Sept. 20. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Hyundai Elantra stolen at the 500 block of Wellesley Road. 

Sept. 20. Shoplifting. An unknown man stole laundry detergent from Family Dollar at the 6500 Block of Greene Street. 

Sept. 20. Shoplifting. An unknown man stole various items from the Grocery Outlet at the Unit block of West Hortter Street. 

Sept. 20. Theft. A woman on the 7100 block of Germantown Avenue reported that an unknown person stole her pocketbook.

Sept. 20. Robbery. An offender entered a store at the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue and pulled out a pocket knife demanding items. The offender frequents the store and has done this several times. 

Sept. 21. Theft. A woman reported her E-ZPass stolen from her car at the 200 block of East Mount Pleasant Avenue.
