The May 4 event - themed "A Night on the Ave" - promises a fun-filled celebration of Mt. Airy and many of the things you know and love about the neighborhood. It will take place inside the beloved, atmospheric Sedgwick Theater, a 1920s movie palace that will soon undergo renovation to restore its Art Deco marquee.

There will be live jazz music from local musicians Reverend Chris & the Lower 19119, along with stationary hors d'oevres and signature cocktails from local caterer Herb Scott. We'll also be honoring community champions like State Senator Art Haywood and a few surprise guests.

A pre-party will be held at the iconic Bar Lizette, and a post-party at Toska Restaurant & Brewery, another of the Avenue's newest businesses, both of which are quickly becoming neighborhood favorites. You can purchase tickets now, at MtAiryCDC.org/GALA, with a discount on early bird tickets through April 6.
