On behalf of his family and friends, we'd like to thank Len Lear and the Chestnut Hill Local for publishing a front page, above the fold article on decorated WWII veteran, equestrian, Devon Horse Show two-wheeled carriage driver, co-founder of the Philadelphia Saddle Club, researcher at the USDA, longtime neighbor and old school gentleman Dr. Thomas Fitzpatrick of Flourtown, who turns 100 this Friday.

Dr. Fitzpatrick will be escorted from his home on Rose Lane, Flourtown PA 19031 at 4:55 p.m. Sharp on Sunday, Sept. 8 by the Springfield police and fire departments to his big ‘Birthday Bash’.  Neighbors and friends are encouraged to hold up posters and flags on his way to Sandy Run Country Club, 200 East Valley Green Road in Oreland.

It would be really special if members of the community could be in the parking lot cheering him on with posters and flags at 5 p.m.

Funny cards may be sent to me at 10 Rose Lane, Flourtown, PA 19031.

We wish Dr. Fitzpatrick the very best and many good years ahead.
