The Morehouse College Glee Club (seen here performing last year, under the direction of Dr. David Morrow) will perform in concert on Wednesday, March 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grace Epiphany Episcopal Church at 224 E. Gowen Ave. in Mt. Airy. The event is sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Morehouse College Alumni Association, and a portion of the ticket sales ($33.85-$55.20) includes a donation to a Morehouse scholarship fund. Learning how to do traditional Irish dance steps at the Commodore Barry Club in Mt. Airy has become a St. Patrick’s Day tradition, thanks to the Philadelphia Ceili Group. Once again, this year the group invites dancers of all levels and ages to come and celebrate their Irish heritage with a fun evening of dance class at the Commodore Barry Club in Mt. Airy on Friday, March 17 at 8 p.m. The non-profit, volunteer organization, founded in 1958, is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Irish culture.
