The following covers reported crimes from June 16-June 23.

Chestnut Hill

June 16. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant whose car was parked in the unit block of West Bells Mill Road told police that an offender entered his unlocked Ford Explorer and took his credit cards. One of the complainant’s cards later was used and charged $1,172.85.

June 20. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman parked her Mercury Mountaineer near West Hartwell Lane and Cherokee Street and returned to find her passenger window broken and items taken. Her credit union card was later used at a liquor store.

June 23. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant who parked his car at Valley Green Road and Wolcott Drive returned from a hike to find his window smashed and a phone among the items missing.

June 23. Theft from motor vehicle. A man told police that while his Ford Transit work vehicle was parked in the 7600 block of Crittenden Street, an offender took personal tools including drills valued at $3,000.

Mt. Airy

June 17. Shoplifting. An offender took snacks from a Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue and left without paying for them.

June 17. Shoplifting. Various items were taken from a Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue and the person left without paying.

June 17. Shoplifting. An offender took items from the Family Dollar in the 6500 block of Greene Street without paying for them.

June 17. Aggravated Assault. A complainant in the 500 block of West Hortter Street told police she had been receiving threatening text messages from a male who is a “friend only” and the man drove by the complainant and showed her a black handgun and then sped off in a white Volvo sedan.

June 17. Theft from motor vehicle. A man told police that an offender broke into his Ford Fusion in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street and took his driver’s license, bank card, $80 and a magazine for a firearm.

June 17. Shoplifting. A youth at the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue filled a bag with candy valued at $50 and fled without paying for it.

June 18. Theft of motor vehicle. A man said he parked his Kia Soul in a driveway in the 7100 block of East Mt. Airy Terrace and when he returned the car was missing.

June 20. Shoplifting. Young people at the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue took chips and other items and left without paying for them.

June 20. Theft. A woman in an apartment complex in the unit block of West Hortter Street told police that a package containing clothing from Fashion Nova was delivered to a common area by UPS and was missing.

June 20. Shoplifting. A store manager at a CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive told police that an offender took items including diapers, cleaning supplies and a cooler without paying for them.

June 21. Aggravated Assault. A man in the 6400 block of Greene Street told police he had an argument with an on offender who later showed up at the complainant’s apartment and thew a liquor bottle through a kitchen window, breaking it, and when the complainant tried to pull down the blinds, the offender reached in through the window and stabbed the complainant with a knife.

June 21. Shoplifting. An offender took hygiene products from the Family Dollar in the 6500 block of Greene Street and fled in a black sedan without paying for the items.

June 21. Theft. A woman told police that an offender took her custom made “Family for lease fire” sign, which cost $5, from the front lawn.

June 21. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant parked her vehicle in the 900 block of Vernon Road and when she returned the vehicle was missing.

June 21. Theft. A woman reported to police that a package in the 400 block of Pleasant Street that contained dresses from Temu valued at $79 was taken by an offender who, according to a ring camera, got into a black Chevy Tahoe and fled.

June 21. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant in the unit block of West Hortter Street said an offender broke the rear passenger window and busted the steering column.

June 22. Shoplifting. An employee of the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue said he saw an offender take items including snacks and drinks without paying for them.

June 22. Theft. A woman told police that an offender who was a friend was holding her phone when the offender used her Cash App to send himself $10 and $30.

June 22. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant parked his car in the 1000 block of Kitchens Lane and when he returned $300, debit cards, social security cards and a Michael Kors purse were missing.

June 22. Theft. Police responded to a report in the 200 block of Upsal that an offender had taken multiple packages from a mailroom. A prior report of similar theft involved the same person.

June 23. Shoplifting. An offender took haircut machines from a store in the 6500 block of Greene Street without paying.

June 23. Motor vehicle theft. A man told police that while he left his vehicle parked and running near the intersection of Ardleigh Street and Gorgas Lane, someone jumped in and drove off.

June 23. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant who had parked his car in the 7400 block of Devon Street has video footage of two offenders opening the door of his Chevy Suburban and taking two tool bags.

June 23. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported that her vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Blakemore Street was ransacked and items including a perfume bottle worth $150 were taken.
