Mount Saint Joseph Academy has been named “Top Catholic College Preparatory School 2026” by Education Insider Magazine. The award recognizes schools demonstrating excellence in faith-based education, academics and student development, based on nominations from the magazine’s subscribers as well as a rigorous review by a panel of executives, industry thought leaders, and the publication’s editorial board, the Flourtown school announced.

“This recognition is a testament to the transformative education we provide — one that prepares young women not only for academic success, but for lives of purpose, service and leadership,” Sister Charlene Diorka, SSJ, president of the school, said in a news release. “We are honored to be recognized among Catholic schools leading the way in forming students of character rooted in faith and committed to making a difference in the world.”

Melissa Sullivan, Ph.D., the school principal, said that “to be peer-nominated and recognized by industry leaders validates the exceptional work our faculty, staff, and entire Mount community do every day. We are committed to creating a student-centered, collaborative environment where every young woman can realize her fullest potential.”

Last October, the Mount unveiled a $20 million initiative that already has secured multiple million-dollar gifts. The comprehensive campus transformation includes a state-of-the-art athletic center set to open in the fall, a new welcome center, and expanded arts and performance spaces. The Mount serves nearly 500 students and maintains connections with more than 5,000 alumnae.

Education Insider’s award is designed to spotlight schools making significant progress in faith-based learning. The selection process includes in-depth vetting, interviews and review by educational leaders and experts.
